Overview

Oxford Signal Processing provides solutions to challenging signal processing problems. Since 2001, we have specialized in underwater communications. Our first product was a Helium-Speech Unscrambler (helium radio) for the U. S. Naval Experimental Diving Unit (NEDU) that was an integral part of their Tethered Diver Communications System (TDCS) in their saturation diving simulation facility at Panama City, Florida.

This was the first helium speech unscrambler to incorporate active noise reduction for attenuating gas-flow noise. Commercial helium radios incorporating that design have been the standard in underwater communications for the last decade.

Since then, advances in digital signal processors have led to superior dive intercom designs, by Hydrolinx Diving Communication, that provide unmatched performance today. All Hydrolinx air and helium radios are digital devices that feature both inhalation noise reduction and background noise reduction. Hydrolinx helium intercoms include multiple modes to accommodate the whole range of saturation diving levels. Hydrolinx intercoms are superior to anything on the market today and are now setting the new standard in diver communications. Hydrolinx diving intercoms are available in portable and rack-mounted configurations.

Oxford Signal Processing provides consulting services in noise measurement and control.
